The depth of love;

Curtailed by a scared little boy.

Seeking redemption;

Through broken humanity.

Arms open; heart closed;

Fear gripped, despair yoked.

Hope alive.

The passion of life, stilled.

The fire, the vision, doused.

A horizon filled with grey dust and a setting sun;
